IDEA MISSION SPEECH

Hi! I'm Marcos Salas and a 6th grader at IDEA Mission. Some people have asked me if I am coming back next year. I say yes. I'm coming back next year because there are some things I like about this school.  I like how the teachers and staff work hard for all of us as students. The staff and teachers try to do whatever they can to persuade us to come back next year and to keep moving forward. I also like the reason they made IDEA which is to try to get us to collage compared to the regular middle schools. Statistics show that compared to regular middle schools that IDEA has a 100% that the students go to collage and to a university unlike the regular middle schools have a 11% of going to a collage. When I heard about IDEA Mission and the statistics I told my mom I wanted to go because I wanted a good education and I known you want one too. So, if you as teens and kids want to go to a goo collage, come to IDEA Mission because here they are serious of going to collage.

Do Now 6-1-09

DO NOW: Explain how you will complete your final project by Thursday.

One way is by revising all my work before thinking of changing it all the components in it. I'm also going to turn in the script and rubric to check also my work. I'm also going to ask for help to different people to help me with my movie. I'm also going to ask for help to change the graphics and sounds to make my movie look cool and nice for the next 6th graders to learn the Essential 55s. That is how I will have my final product by Thursday.

Do Now : 4/21/09

Do Now: How will I do whatever it takes so I can accomplish today's objective? What will I do differently? I will take my time wisely by thinking of what doing first in an order. As long as I have a plan and my materials, I will be in a good order and time. Another way is by following my script and not getting distracted by anybody. That is how I will complete today's objective. 

Do Now of 4-17-09

DO NOW:  In class today, I will learn how to take my picture, re-image my picture and access my pictures in Imovie.  Explain how you will learn today and how you can accomplish this task in 15 minutes.I will listen very carefully to the instructions. I will do anything the teacher asks for. Whenever somebody is speaking I will SLANT to that person and listen to whatever they have to say. That is how I will learn today in class. I will also plan my time and how long I take.

Explanation: This feels like a poem to  motivate us for the TAKS tomorrow and on Wednesday also. It says that whatever you think in you head might come true. For example, it says that if you think you'll lose, you might lose and get lost in the way. I like the last paragraph because it explains how in life you will have to have a lot of battles and challenges on the way. It matters if you might be pessimistic or optimistic.I have a tip for you:"Think before you act ".

Multiply 125* 20 which is 2500. Since .20 Has to move the decimal point 2 spaces do the same thing to 2500. the answer should come out 25.00

2.  Convert 25% to a fraction of 25/100
3. Change 25/100 to its simplest form of 1/4 
4. The final step is just to divide 125 by 4 and there is your answer.
5. Your answer should have been $31.25.
